This is one of the key initiatives that emerged from the Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Summit. Our hope is that individuals and organizations in Northeast Ohio collaborate around this shared vision for scaling up local food production and job creation.
A premier urban garden at the corner of 74th and Union Avenue. As part of the Sustainability Summit 2019, this group has committed to working with the Slavic Village and Cleveland community to unify the residents thru shared activities.
why go DOWN when you can go UP? going DOWN takes gas, makes noise and compacts the soil. build UP! it takes waste out of our system and builds soil you can share.

little urban youth picking little urban apples. no dream lost. urban orchard on orchard. dream big!
nice people over there in BOARDMAN. they would do very well in cleveland or lakewood. perhaps even CH on coventry or lee road. i, my family, co-workers and ysu students eat there at least 3x a month. bring em on!
Anyone in the Wooster or Wayne County area can connect in this group.
We find that we often live in the shadow of Cleveland or Akron-based events, but as the cost of fuel rises again it would be great to have our own thing going.
Thanks Maurice; I had planned to come around to you eventually, for sure. We're still in the planning stages of the program, but expect me to call on you early in 2010. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully working with you.

Problem being, some of them have been there forever, soil is hard, need a huge amount of elbow grease and equipment, lots of water and expertise. Well...I have got the elbow grease! So, glad you are interested. Let's chat! Thank you. Later...
