PolyCultures & Big River at Rocky River Nature Center
December 10, 2009 from 7pm to 9pm
If you've seen PolyCultures, chances are you've seen or at least heard about King Corn. A couple months ago I had the good fortune to bump into and then chat with one of the filmmakers behind King Corn. This has led to the dual bill of their new pro…

Hey now, I'm not cracking on the rhyming; I'm singing its praises (since I certainly don't want to go against the Gospel of Rhymes According to Kanye). I think that if they had been successful in inventing a time machine, it might have overshadowed…

Hey, Kanye would rhyme "system" with "system" - probably three times in a row, or at least three times out of four. It's too bad that time machine didn't work - that really would have been a neat by-product of this garden project! They're showing…

A notable video to me in how it covered a lot of the benefits of this without even mentioning the environmental angle of this presumably organic (or at least polyculture) growing. It strengthens my belief that there is something for everyone with lo…

I must admit, this is kind of awesome... for places that don't have free land. Around here, it'd just be silly.

August 24, 2009 from 7pm to 9pm

An interesting look at permaculture... Thoughts? I, for one, don't think I could handle living in a houseboat... nor do I think saying we must "democratize" the UN is a very telling plan - democracy according to whom? I can get behind most of that…
