I work with North Union Farmers Market, a nonprofit organization that holds farmers markets and promotes local food and farmers. At NUFM, I manage one weekly market and engage in grant writing and community outreach. I also grew up on our family's farm in Valley City, OH and help my mom with her home business by selling her products at other markets.

What gifts can you give to Cleveland's local food community?

Experience as a vendor, farmer, and market manager.

What knowledge and practices do you want to learn?

Growing, marketing, cooking.

What about local food makes you most excited?

I love talking with the farmers at the market. They are the nicest, most hardworking people you will ever meet. They take pride in what they do and simply want to share their work with everyone. I also love trying new, seasonal foods and learning how to prepare them.
