what is the best way to tend to a open wound due to pecking on a chicken? and what is the best way to introduce a new flock.. to an old one?

im worried about my one chickens feet.. she has round dirt balls covering her nails.. and I tried but coulndt get them off will she take care of it? or is their something that I can do? it has been so wet.. and im sure thats why they are like that b…

Plum Creek Farm said… - Lynn you inquired about chicken feed. We get ours from LE Sommers in Seville. I think local feed mills are better than purina stuff. Depends where you are at though.
