As part of the Sustainability Summit 2019, this group has committed to working on planning, designing, locating funding and space for community kitchens.
A unique Farmers Market open year round in E. Cleveland, Ohio. Our mission is to provide access to locally grown farm products to residents of Greater Cleveland. Also preserve & develop the Market property, & continue to expand the Market's services.
By joining this group you pledge to spend 20% of your organizational food budget on local foods by 2019. Start with 10% in 2009 and add just 1% per year for the next 10 years. How many organizations will pledge in 2009?
Dedicated local eater, local food and farming advocate, and small business owner. I launched FarmShare Ohio in 2008 to deliver fresh, locally grown foods to employees of Cleveland area businesses and offer a dependable market opportunity for NE Ohio farmers and producers. With a successful 2008 season behind me, I'm now looking forward to 2009.
I also co-lead Slow Food Northern Ohio, the local chapter of Slow Food USA. Our volunteer-led organization works to strengthen connnections between members of our local food community and foster awareness and appreciation of NE Ohio's food, farms and culinary traditions.
